A special message from Billy Android...

Greetings, equipment lovers across the galaxy. My good mates at PING are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and what better way to remember Karsten Solheim than show off this old school KARSTEN driver, which I found in a charity shop. Here's to another 50 years of corking PING equipment, guys and gals...

Rio Ferdiand

... and he’s working with us!

Yes, if you’re one of the three million people that bought The Sun this morning you’ll already know that Manchester United and England lynchpin Rio Ferdinand is to launch his own digital lifestyle magazine. What you may not know is that it’s Made Up Media (i.e. us) that are producing it with him. Which is nice.

As promised, Rio has already opened his contacts book and delivered some mammoth names for the first issue including the rapper 50 Cent and another exclusive with the incomparable Mickey Rourke. There’s also music, gadgets, fashion, cars, travel and more than enough stuff to keep you away from the trivial things in life like work, friends and family.

The first issue will be available for FREE download on April 23rd

Outrageous: Hoy gets a knighthood, Paisley gets a plate...

Well, no, quite frankly...

Right, those New Year’s Honours then. Well, we haven’t laughed so much since we saw Heather our local sandwich lady buying multipacks of apple juice cartons at Lidl (80p for six) and then trying to flog them to us at 80p a piece! Chancer. Anyway, Chris Hoy, BBC Sports Personality of the Year and now a Knight of the Realm? That swimmer? Christine Ohuruugugrguuguugugu? Madness. Steve Ovett never got a knighthood. Bob Paisley didn’t get one either. Bob Paisley! Oh, that’s right, he only won six League titles, three European Cups, three League Cups and a UEFA Cup with Liverpool. Must have been his failure to win the FA Cup that cost him. Yes, time was when you got a gong at the end of your career, not when you’re barely out of puberty. And don’t get us started on Lewis Hamilton. That man/boy should have his medal withheld until he finally moves back to Blighty and starts giving a little bit back to this once great nation of ours…
